About Alicia Kate Pottery
Putting the fun in functional, Alicia Kate Pottery Co. creates colourful, everyday ceramics designed to bring joy to your table and comfort to your routines. Each piece is handmade in Amherst, Nova Scotia, using only food-safe materials—crafted to be both practical and delightfully playful in design.
Founder and artist Alicia Whitty has been working with clay since the age of 14, learning her craft alongside established ceramic artists, including Wendy Johnston of Hopewell Cape, NB. In 2018, she turned her lifelong hobby into a business when her growing collection of pottery began to outgrow her home. Today, Alicia takes joy in seeing her work brighten kitchens, coffee tables, and homes near and far.
Every item from Alicia Kate Pottery Co. is one-of-a-kind, celebrating the variations that come with being 100% handmade. Known for her bold use of colour, Alicia continually reimagines the rainbow, testing new and unique combinations that can’t help but make you smile.
With a perfect balance of art and utility, these ceramics are made to be used—for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every moment in between. After all, everything tastes better when served in a handmade dish.
